Salén Ship Management is a small Ship Management company based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company is part of a family-owned group including Ship Owning entities, Ship Management and Chartering.
Our core business is the technical management of quality small expedition and destination ships, assuring that the vessels are safe, reliable, comfortable, and well prepared for their deployment. Managing expedition ships and especially older tonnage requires in depth knowledge about not only the ship, but also the trading areas where associated possibilities and limitations may be the difference between success and failure.
We have partnered with Sea Chefs Ltd. to run the hotel management on board the fleet owned within the group. We have a long-standing successful record as partners and can offer full hotel management with them direct or via us, whatever owners preferred option.
Our offer includes service of an in-house experienced Hotel Superintendent who will visit the ship regularly to ensure the standard of service and follow up on any request or requirement from owner or as agreed by a charterer. The Hotel Superintendent will also assist with a designated hotel team during dry-dockings or reposition projects from design ideas to execution/installation. From a portable serving station to teak deck refurbishment, reupholstery of furniture, or a new carpet instalment.
