We are looking for a Crew Coordinator to join our team at our office in Gothenburg.

Salén Ship Management is responsible for the technical and operational management of two wholly-owned expedition cruise ships within our group. About the Position 
As a Crew Coordinator, you will play a central role in coordinating the crew and will work closely with both the ships, our colleagues at the office, and our manning agents. In your role, you will be responsible for the daily administration of crew changes, scheduling, travel arrangements, budgeting, and ensuring  the best possible service from our partners. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Responsible for planning and coordinating the deck- and engine crew schedules (embarkation/disembarkation according to company standards). 

• Collaborate with manning agents to ensure efficient crew deployment and delivery. 

• Oversee and track wages and travel expenses for seafarers. 

• Monitor and follow up on contracts and collective agreements for seafarers. 

• Provide relevant data for OPEX budgeting within your area of responsibility. 

• Responsible for recruitment and staffing of the ships. 

• Actively promote the well-being and satisfaction of the crew onboard. 

Your Profile 
We are looking for a structured and communicative person with strong social skills. It is important that you are willing and able to work in a small team with high autonomy expected in each position. You thrive in an international environment and communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Ideally, you have a few years of experience working with seafarers in international traffic and/or with vessels registered in the Bahamas, and a good understanding of the administrative processes related to manning and seafarer contracts. Experience from the cruise industry is an advantage but not a requirement. 

The position is based in Gothenburg and may involve travel both within and outside of Sweden. 

Employment Conditions 
The position is a full-time, permanent position with a start date as soon as possible, preferably before April 1, 2025.
